Better Taxes Coalition

The Better Taxes for a Better Future campaign is supported by the Better Taxes Coalition including the following organisations:

Tax Justice Aotearoa (TJA) is the lead Coalition partner and the TJA Committee and Policy Advisory Committee support the Campaign Team.

The Coalition believes a better tax system would meet these five criteria:

  • Raise more revenue to enable us to address the challenges we face
  • Make sure people who have more to contribute, make that contribution - by gathering more revenue from wealth, gains from wealth, all forms of income, and corporates
  • Address the impact of tax on the least well-off in our society
  • Make greater use of fair taxes to promote good health and environmental sustainability
  • Be transparent

Volunteers and Donors

None of our work would be possible without the contributions of our volunteers and donors who have joined the fight for better taxes, so we can all have better futures.

We know those trying to maintain the status quo have deep pockets. But when we all contribute what we can, we have the power in our numbers to win!
